Right & Wrong Living – Day 4 of 75 Days

// June 29th, 2011 // 217church, 75 Days

Scripture Read: Psalms 7, 8

Key Verse: Psalm 7:14

“Behold, the wicked man(AA) conceives evil and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies.”

Observation:

David is stating what he has witnessed happen to his foes, his personal experience & through what Jesus has shown him about evil. Psalms 7 is a plea from David to Jesus so that Jesus may keep him safe from his enemies as well as punish David for his own wrongdoings.  This verse is particularly key because it demonstrates how evil dwells within us and comes out bearing a poisonous fruit.

Application:

So often we fear others and allow them to control our daily lives. Sometimes fear can be so strong that it turns us away from God, into evil.  That’s when God wants us to turn to Him even more! “The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.” Nahum 1:7

Prayer:

Lord, protect me from evil and do not allow it to dwell inside of me. Shield me from those who seek to do harm and help me be a light to those who inhabit the dark.  Help me be a woman of strong faith and forgive me of my wrongdoings against others. Be with me throughout my day and guide me to right living

  1. Jay Van Der Horn says:

    Reading thru Psalm 8 left me humbled. God the creator of all things thinks about me. God cares for me. I don’t deserve it. I can’t earn it. His grace is overwhelming. I am not just 1 in 9 billion people on 1 of 8 planets in our solar system going around the sun which is 1 in infinity. I am Jason and He has called me by name. Life’s obstacles aren’t as large as they were moments ago. The world doesn’t revolve around me, so I will bow before Him who put the stars into place and set the world into motion. Humbled am I.

  2. Bach says:

    Listen to God’s voices each day and meeting him personally on his terms. It is about following the the living God that changes live each day.

    There a so much to read over and over in Psalm.
